Broods - Hot New Zealand Duo Sign With Capitol In US And Polydor UK
Hollywood, CA (Top40 Charts / Universal Music Group) Broods - the fast-rising brother-sister duo from New Zealand - have signed with Capitol Records in the U.S. and Polydor in the UK, in a collaborative effort between Capitol's Senior Vice President of A&R Mike Flynn and Polydor UK President Ferdy Unger-Hamilton . The two labels will be jointly releasing Broods' debut EP in February and full-length album in August.

Interest in Broods - Georgia and Caleb Nott - has been building with the release of their first single, "Bridges," which the duo released on SoundCloud a month ago and has already earned nearly 300,000 listens. The song has also received support from sites like Pigeons and Planes, Noisey and Idolator, and various YouTube clips have resulted in hundreds-of-thousands of views. The track is already receiving early play on KCRW in Los Angeles and Radio 1 in the UK.

"Bridges" was produced by Joel Little , who will be helming Broods' forthcoming EP and album. Little's work with Lorde has resulted in one of the year's biggest singles and albums, with "Royals" and Pure Heroine , respectively.

Broods first met Little nearly three years ago when Georgia and Caleb were still in high school and their soon-to-be manager, Page, introduced him to the teens. Since then, Little has encouraged and helped the duo to experiment with their sound, resulting in the sonic approach of "Bridges" and their forthcoming EP and album.
