Music Awards concert benefiting Lifebeat - music fights HIV/AIDS. The free concert, presented by Time Warner Cable, will take place at New York's Terminal 5 on Friday, August 23. Special guests will join Thicke, who is set to perform on the MTV VMA's telecast. Tickets are available now, first come, first serve, while supplies last at Time Warner Cable's 96th Street Store.
America is losing the war against HIV prevention: 1,000 young Americans ages 13-24 are newly infected with HIV every month, and many don't know it. As part of its ongoing mission to deliver messages of awareness and prevention to 13-29 year olds, the annual VMA/Lifebeat Benefit Concert has become a major staple in the 24-hour lead-up to the VMA's, with concerts featuring on-the-verge artists and major acts, such as Phoenix, Kid Cudi, The Beastie Boys, Maroon 5, and more.
