Atlanta Rapper P Floata Signs With New Indie Label Expat Records
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ EXPAT Records) The veteran hip hop artist will be releasing his latest single "She Can Get It" in Summer 2011 to be followed by a full length album in Autumn 2011.

Struggle. Loss. Triumph. Family. Fatherhood. These are the things that ignite the fire of Atlanta rapper, P Floata. He began producing music and rapping at the age of eight. As a young hustler, P Floata's rapping ambitions took a back seat and his talent lay dormant. Several years later
he chose to focus his attention on his music, allowing his talents to shine through. P Floata has developed a unique rapping style, colored by his recognizable southern drawl.

Born Phillip De'Leon Hayes Jr. in a family of seven, P Floata moved ten times before the age of fifteen-an unstable childhood that led him to a life of hustling at the age of thirteen. He became a father before graduating from high school. It wasn't until P Floata lost his best friend Steven in a fatal drunk driving accident that P Floata really began to turn his life around. As children, P Floata and Steven would rap together and imagine life as world-class emcees. P Floata began to take the rap game seriously to fulfill the dream he had shared with his fallen friend.

P Floata has worked and performed with such artists as T.I., Gucci Mane, Juvenile, Nappy Roots, Crime Mob, Shawty Lo, Maceo, Jody Breeze, Plies, Big Gee, and many more. Last year he performed at a concert for radio personality Greg Street of Atlanta's V103 in his hometown at Gwinnett Areana where he expressed admiration for one of North Atlanta's most important hip hop figures. P Floata has released 5 independent mixtapes (street albums) including his two recent releases "Money Over Everything" and "Black Can Land" totaling near 60,000 copies sold worldwide and hundreds of thousands of digital downloads; an accomplishment that is very rare for for an independent artist.

P Floata's signing with Expat records marks the beginning of a new chapter in the career of this Atlanta rapper and is currently working on a full length album to be released later in the year. The first single from this album is called "She Can Get It" and has been produced by well known producer, Zaytoven.
