Incubus Producer Jim Wirt's Next Hit: Modena's Second Time Around
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Modena Official Website) Rave reviews follow Modena's announcement of release Second Time Around, the title track from their EP, recorded fall of 2010 at Closer Look Studios with Jim Wirt, producer of Hoobastank, Incubus, Jack's Mannequin and other hit artists.

"The EP is so solid, you could mix it into any FM rock station's rotation without anyone realizing they were hearing an indie label band." - forthesound.com

The new music represents a monumental step for the Carolina rockers, as they release this EP under the umbrella of their new label Filament Records and will be playing regional shows and festivals to promote it through their booking agency C&A Media Group.

While Modena's 2008 demo received local and internet radio play and support, the Second Time Around EP is expected to be welcomed by both college and terrestrial radio as well. With no intention of letting these potential hit songs sit on a shelf, the band and Filament are working hard to gain recognition of the potentially top 40 hits.

Modena's members take pride in being leaders in their genre, not remaking anyone else's music, but building on the traditions of rock left to them by the greats, and maintaining their own style in everything they write.

" Modena rocks hard... super heavy guitars with GREAT vocal harmonies.. reminds me of ALICE IN CHAINS.. They are amazing musicians, and I really enjoyed working with them.. They listened to me, but at the same time very meticulous about their parts.. Together we made an amazing album with great commercial potential." Jim Wirt, Producer.

Wirt's hand is obvious on the EP, with the production quality he is known for. His musical genius rarely matched, Wirt places light touches on songs that other producers can't. He polishes the music without over-producing, so a song holds onto it's edge while being transformed into a radio ready recording.

"...was, in fact, amazed yet again by the amount of talent this band possesses." - RaleighMusic.com

Modena delivers music that stays true to real rock, while taking ownership of their role in building on that sound. Check out the Second Time Around EP and it's title track at www.modenaofficial.com

"Some bands are fair, some good and others "shouldn't quit their day jobs"! Every once in a while, though, you run into a band that has success written all over it. That is the category Modena falls in." - Gulf Coast Music Review
