New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ stlhiphop.com) - After over a decade of silence, members of 5 Ela (the late rapper Proof's group consisting of childhood friends) sat down with b-gyrl of stlhiphop.com and gave the untold story about Detroit hip hop, offering chilling details into the events surrounding Proof's death and insight into his relationship with Eminem.

The interview consists of actual raw audio of frontman "Thyme" Russell and Muddrich "Mudd" Barthalomew Watson discussing everything from coming up with Proof to creating the movement that launched the careers of the biggest names in Detroit hip hop including Jay Dilla to dispelling many of the accepted myths about the movie 8 Mile including Proof's relationship with Eminem.

It also contains never before heard details about Proof's passing and funeral, including Eminem getting an achievement award at Proof's funeral, D12's attempt to lay the blame on Mudd who was actually with Proof the night he got killed and the fact that neither Em or D12 reached out to them in the aftermath.

The interview is featured this month on www.stlhiphop.com and includes actual audio clips of the actual exchange.

stlhiphop.com is an online, digital and mobile network that is to the midwest what Ozone Magazine is to the south. Launched in 2000, on the "old mp3.com" by "Digable" aka b-gyrl, a member of the online team that broke Nelly online during Viendi/Universal's takeover, stlhiphop has worked with and received endorsement from major labels (including Universal, Capitol and Jive), platnium/Grammy Award winning & nominated artists and producers (many of which are members of the site such as Tarboy CEO of DefJam's Trackboyz, J-Kwon and St. Lunatics) and various entities such as Russell Simmon's Hip Hop Summit and the MO Black Expo.
