London, UK (Top40 Charts/ PPR Publicity) - Some of the world's biggest artists from music and film are donating instruments and memorabilia for an auction to raise funds for climate disaster charity APE (Artists Project Earth). Items include a signed Fender Stratocaster by The Killers, 2 tickets plus a meet and greet opportunity for Corinne Bailey Rae's Somerset House gig on 16th July, a signed Collectors Edition tour programme from Beyonce and other signed memorabilia from Kings of Leon, Madonna, Duffy, Jack Johnson, Fleet Foxes, REM, Keane, Kevin Spacey, and others. Sienna Miller donated a stunning Rebecca Minkoff shoulder bag and signed photograph to the auction saying, 'Haiti is still in desperate need of our attention, and our aid. The column inches may fade, but we must not forget the survivors.'

It is hoped the auction will raise over $50,000 for APE which specialises in raising funds through music and the arts to support natural disasters including the earthquakes in Haiti, Chile and the Tibet Plateau.

The auction takes place on eBay from June 10 - 20, 2010. To participate please follow www.apeuk.org/auction.

About APE
The main way Artists Projects Earth raises money is through the sale of its own albums. These include 'Rhythms Del Mundo Classics' and 'Rhythms Del Mundo Cuba', featuring Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Jack Johnson, Sting, U2, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, and Radiohead. The albums have sold over 1 million copies worldwide, raising many thousands of dollars for charitable causes. Every year APE makes awards of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The APE charity now extends across the world, with a board of internationally recognised directors and advisors. Its founder, the songwriter and producer Kenny Young, has been a recipient of the United Nations Global 500 Award for outstanding practical achievements in the protection and improvement of the environment for his work as co-founder of the Earth Love Fund which supported and initiated over 200 community based projects in Brazil, Africa, Asia and Australia.
