London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - After all his summer gigs, Lemar is to give something back with a FREE GIG for his Midlands fans at Birmingham Millennium Point at 1pm, 27th August (Bank Holiday Monday).

He will play a short set as part of the Cut the Carbon rally, a Christian Aid and Stop Climate Chaos-organised event, intended to raise awareness about how climate change is affecting the world's poor and encouraging people to cut their own emissions.

Lemar saw for himself what a devastating impact climate change has had in Uganda. This year many farmers in northern Uganda have had little or no harvest because of drought. With little else to fall back on, these farmers now need to look for other ways to find food and work to support their families.

Lemar said: 'I'm really pleased to be supporting the Cut the Carbon rally and seeing as many of you as can make it on the 27th. What I saw in Uganda helped convince me that this is a cause where we can all make a difference.'
