NASHVILLE, TN (Alan Jackson Official Website) - Two of music's most acclaimed and respected talents are collaborating on what's sure to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2006 as Alan Jackson enlists 20-time Grammy winner Alison Krauss as producer on his upcoming studio album. The album marks a collaborative reunion for the pair: In 1993, Alison recorded 'The Angels Cried,' a duet for Alan's first holiday collection, the Platinum-certified Honky Tonk Christmas.

In New York City this past November, Alan and Alison appeared at a Grand Ole Opry Carnegie Hall show, where backstage the two had a casual conversation about possibly making a bluegrass record. After everyone returned to Nashville, Alison suggested a different approach, and they agreed to record a few songs. Inspired by the results, the two will return to the studio to complete the album, due out in late September on Arista Nashville.

Since 1989, Alan has recorded 15 albums, earned 31 No 1 singles and amassed record sales of more than 44 million. He is the most nominated artist in CMA (Country Music Association) history and has won more than 95 industry awards.
