NEW YORK, NY (Serious Publicity Company) - Grammy Award Winner and Super Music Producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins has won several Grammy Awards and Nominations throughout his career, and once again, has receive yet another Grammy Nomination for the hit song "Cater 2 U" performed by the sensational female group Destiny's Child. The last two years was phenomenal for Rodney and his Darkchild Production and Writing Team, it was announced today by Serious Publicity Company, LLC.

Rodney started 2004 off with rave reviews for his Gospel hit "You Don't Know" performed by daughter of the legendary Clark Sister Kierra Sheard, which crossed over into the Pop R&B market with great impact. At the close of 2004, he is accredited for bringing back to the forefront Destiny's Child with the Cutting Edge Hit song "Lose My Breath," despite all the nay-sayers of a Destiny's Child come-back. He and his team also wrote and produced "Don't Talk About It, Be About It," and "Cater 2 U" (which Rodney and one of his Darkchild songwriters/producers Rick Lewis are currently co-nominees), for their Multi-Platinum Destiny Fulfilled album.

Immediately after, Rodney's string of success continued as 2005 kicked off with an incredible start. Rodney Jerkins won the most prestigious Dove Award for "You Don't Know" performed by Kierra Sheard. This award is the highest honor in Gospel Music. During 2005, Rodney and his team wrote and produced with some of the biggest names in music; J-Lo, Omarion, Brandy, Mya, Tamia, Avante, Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige and Twister. Also on the new Destiny's Child hit compilation album "No 1's," "Feel The Same Way I Do" was added amongst the other many No 1 hit songs Rodney and his Darkchild team has already produced for them. Later that year, Rodney again received high acclaim for rescuing the career of unexpected star recording artist, Ray J, helping him to reach the top of the R&B charts with the Smash "One Wish", produced by Rodney Jerkins and written by Rodney Jerkins, Fred Jerkins and LaShawn Daniels.

Rodney the philanthropist held a Toys for Tots toy drive in his hometown Orlando Florida, and began work on producing an All-Star, Hurricane Katrina Charity Benefit CD double single with a remake of the classic Sister Sledge hit "We Are Family" for the Katrina Victims with the Points of Light Foundation. In 2005, Rodney launched his Versatility instrument compilation album, and the "Versatility USA Talent Search Competition," which various talent can enter via the Darkchild website; https://www.darkchild.com
He completed work on his wife's Joy Enriquez Christian album "Atmosphere" due to be released this year on her new spectacular independent label, Joyful Child Records. At the end of December, 2005, Rodney signed a multi-million dollar, song deal with Island Def Jam and took a Senior Executive Position as VP of A&R. Currently, Rodney has just completed work on his reggae/dancehall artist Atiba, who's album is due for release this year. Atiba's hit song "If I Had One Wish" produced by Rodney Jerkins and written by Rodney Jerkins, Atiba Martin, Malica Martin, and Jeff Villanueva, is creating a great buzz in the southeast region. Rodney and his team are currently producing and writing hits for Christine Milian, Megan Michelle, and Young Leek.
