New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The streets of NYC may have been temporarily silent for much of the past year, but in downtown Manhattan in the late 80's and early 90's, they were the site of a dynamic collision between two vibrant subcultures: skateboarding and hip hop. This moment - the last great act of cultural alchemy in pre-9/11, pre-gentrified New York - is evocatively captured in All the Streets Are Silent, the new film by first-time director Jeremy Elkin, set for release in theaters on July 23 via Greenwich Entertainment, with a premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival set for June 11.

Narrated by Zoo York co-founder Eli Gesner with an original score by legendary hip-hop producer Large Professor (Nas, A Tribe Called Quest), All the Streets Are Silent brings to life the magic of the era and the convergence that created a style, sound and visual language that would have an enduring, global impact. Highlights include performance footage of a teenage JAY-Z and the first on-air appearance/freestyle from Busta Rhymes. If Paris Is Burning and KIDS had a baby, you'd have this documentary love letter to New York - examining race, society, fashion and street culture.

All The Streets features never-before-seen archival footage and legendary characters and figures from the downtown scene: Rosario Dawson, Harold Hunter, Justin Pierce, Keith Hufnagel, Darryl Mcdaniels (Run-D.M.C.), Jefferson Pang, Bobbito Garcia, Stretch Armstrong, Kool Keith, Leo Fitzpatrick, Mike Hernandez, DJ Clark Kent, Kid Capri, Mike Carroll, Moby, Fab 5 Freddy, Peter Bici, Yuki Watanabe, Clayton Patterson, Beatrice Domond, Tyshawn Jones, and more.
