New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following the release of his second single "Her Grace" featuring Grammy-nominated artist Chronixx, UK based Irish singer and songwriter Maverick Sabre shares his emotive new single/video "Slow Down" featuring Grammy-nominated artist and longtime collaborator Jorja Smith. "Slow Down" is the third track to be released from his forthcoming and recently announced third album When I Wake Up due March 22nd.

The new video directed by Rashid Babiker (Jorja's "On Your Own" and "Teenage Fantasy") sees Mav playing the role of a thoughtful cab-driver, and Jorja, a customer stepping into his car; the story unpicks two characters whose worlds collide while sharing a confessional moment during their journey. The story unfolds through the lens of passing street lights, rear-view mirrors, raindrops, and impressive cinematography.

Speaking on the video, Mav said: "The video inspired by the lyrics in the song represents two people, both in a similar experience expressing honestly, unfiltered, how they feel. The question we wanted to leave open was whether these two characters in the story are connected or not and if that even matters, what does is no matter what experience/situation you are in there is someone else who is feeling the exact same way."

When I Wake Up showcases a personal and poignant body of work and includes powerful features from Grammy-nominated artists Jorja Smith and Chronixx. The new album marks a new chapter for Mav with the freedom to create exactly what and how he wishes. A rich tapestry of stories exploring themes around society, faith, relationships, hope, hurt and much more.

Bursting onto the scene in 2012 with the release of his #2 charting debut album, Lonely Are the Brave, along with hit single "Let Me Go" which peaked at #16 on the UK Singles Chart, Mav steadily built himself a following and a revered reputation as not only a respected artist, but also an intricate storyteller, a bold spokesperson and an exceptional songwriter.

The last six months have seen him open for Jorja at her sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom show in NY and on her European tour, his first headline show in two years headlining ANNIE MAC PRESENTS at the Jazz Cafe and collaborating with RUDIMENTAL on two tracks on their recently released album. Media acclaim from the likes of THE FADER, MTV, COMPLEX, NOTION, CLASH, ANNIE MAC, MISTAJAM, PHIL TAGGART and more.

After the album release, Mav will embark on his first UK headline tour in five years, with the Leeds, Manchester, Brighton, London, Bristol, dates already SOLD OUT, watch / stream / pre-order music below, and stay tuned for more news to follow (full tour dates below).
