Steel Banglez Signs Publishing Deal With Warner/Chappell
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the global music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, announced that it has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with songwriter and producer Steel Banglez.

Steel Banglez is one of the most in-demand producers in the UK urban scene, having co-written with some of the biggest names in grime and rap including Wiley, Birdman, Krept & Konan, Mist and D Double E. He also recently released his debut single on Polydor Records, "Money," which features some of the UK's hottest MCs MoStack, Mist, Haile and Abra Cadabra.

Steel Banglez says: "I feel proud to be signed to Warner/Chappell. I love the energy in the building and Amber Davis and the A&R team have a great vision of how we can work together to further my songwriting career. I know that the next few years will be successful."

Mike Smith, Managing Director of Warner/Chappell UK, adds: "UK urban music has never been as vibrant as it is right now and I am delighted that we are working with Steel Banglez, who is one of the central songwriter/producers to have emerged from the scene. His music embraces a world of influences and we can't wait to help him expand his career with synch opportunities in films and games, as well as encouraging a thriving solo career."

Guv, CEO of Catalyst Management, who manages Steel Banglez, concludes: "It's great news that Banglez and Warner/Chappell will be working together. He is a skilled songwriter that people love to collaborate with."

Steel Banglez was born and raised in East London and comes from Sikh heritage. His introduction to music started at a young age when his mother taught him to play various classical Indian instruments such as the dhol, tabla and harmonium. At the age of 10, his older brother taught him how to DJ. He went on to study electronic music production and audio engineering at the School of Audio, and now resides in Dagenham where he is building his own studio.

In related news, Guv has joined forces with Zues, founding partner of Tape London, to create a new entertainment venture, housed in a stunning creative hub in Battersea, dedicated to developing and launching new and existing artists in key global markets. Steel Banglez will be one of the many songwriters taking advantage of the new facility.
